So I promised some original fiction, and here it is. It's completely different from QaF for many reasons:
1) There's no sex.
2) It's about a 14 year-old girl.
3) There are superpowers.
I figure that if you liked reading Beverly Clearly and Roald Dahl as a kid (or books that had smart, funny, and slightly awkward girls kicking ass), you might like this.

“Where the fuck have you been? I flew in an hour ago to surprise you and I’ve been standing here freezing my one good ball off.”
Justin smiled. Suddenly, he felt a whole lot warmer.

A/N: So I recently discovered that my dear, dear tweedygal has a quirky little neurosis involving even numbers. I, being the good friend that I am, not only made fun of her for it, I also dared her to face her OCD-ness head on for a drabble. She kicked ass, so this is that drabble.
When they woke up, the fire had died down and a chill crept into the oak-paneled room. Brian’s eyes were closed, but a smile caught in the curve of his lips belied that he wasn’t asleep. Justin pulled himself closer to his naked body and kissed the flat of his forehead.
“I know you’re just pretending,” he whispered.
“I’m sound asleep,” said Brian. “Be quiet, you’re ruining the moment.”
Justin moved his lips lower, brushing his eyelids.
“Did you know that I’m in love with a romantic, sentimental dork?”
Brian smiled against his cheek. “And now you’re stuck with me.”
